The project covers the design of a 'panorama' building that becomes part of the former shipyard area on Giudecca Island in Venice, completing the 'Bacino di S. Marco' panorama taking in the Palladian churches. An empty tube - 273 metres long - refers to Canaletto’s camera obscura, and reiterates the eighteenth-century controversy, expressing new themes about the magnification of the view and artistic production. The tube, which is formulated as a double structural box, proposes an absolute space produced by its own hollow, in which images of Venice will be projected, manipulated, re-formulated.
