The project is called the 'Sankofa' and consists of a museum of African civilization with a park. The museum is situated where a ship was bombarded near cape Coast castle in Ghana 500 years ago. The intention is to create an island in the water to tell stories about Ghana and the history of the location. The building should look like a ship. It consists of 7 false columns, which are used as storytellers. The garden should be replanted to restore original plants to the site. The use of electro/thermo chromic glass is allow communication between the artefact and the people. The change of transparencies is the translation of 'beauty' from an African woman.
