A new infrastructure is born as the world’s dependence on virtual systems becomes chronic. Akin to the legendary Kris of the ancient Malays, it provides protection/invulnerability to the nation. It explores the themes of duality and dichotomy between many aspects of reality/virtuality, permanence/transience, man/machine, system/chaos, etc. Half of the building exists in cyberspace itself. Many millions of people are currently engrossed in the virtual mazes and buildings generated in computer games, and this perceived architecture will soon usurp the physical architecture of corporeality. 3-D operating systems will become a liveable dimension; wired links will become the homes of everyone; architects (of the future) will build with this in mind, for in the future we will live in our minds....
