The design is proposing a bridge as a gallery with cinema, exhibition spaces and a library (Ponte Vecchio). The site is Milsons Point on the not tourist side of the harbor bridge in the center of Sydney. The project intends to increase and enrich sequentially the urban experience to provide a provocative image and spatial unexpected links. The procedure is based on the condition of the site with its parallel lane structure. Each of these lanes carry a function: freeway next to railway next to park next to street next to footpath. The gallery is treated like a “lane” and weaves through the others to maximize the relationship of the public areas.
