A public exhibition space for contemporary art is realised partly in a existing ruin, which has been extended for this purpose. The extension contrasts the ruin through the use of glass and steel. A second tower is added in which administration functions are situated. There are two entrances, one at a level above the ground coming from a train station and another one, a ramp starting at street level ending in the former basement. Spatial sequence is an important topic in the experiencing of the old and new building.
